Chicago Bears vs. Arizona Cardinals: Five players to watch
Tanner Gentry, Wide Receiver
Gentry didn’t enter the game until the fourth quarter. I would like to see him enter the game in the third quarter, in place of a player like Josh Bellamy. Maybe he will, now that Reuben Randle was placed on injured reserve with a hamstring injury.

Trubisky has developed a nice rapport with the undrafted free agent from Wyoming. Gentry has been making contested catches in camp and, especially, on deep balls.
“I felt like I did everything I could during my senior year to show I was ready for the NFL. I caught the tough passes, I performed well on the big stages, and I knew I had put in the work going all the way back to my high school days,” said Tanner Gentry, via Kyle Newman of the Denver Post.
Gentry was targeted twice against the Broncos and caught one pass for 13 yards, which set up a first and goal situation for the Chicago Bears in the fourth quarter.
If he can make plays or even appear unphased on special teams in the preseason, then he may force General Manager Ryan Pace to put him on the 53 man roster. Honestly, if he is put on the practice squad, then I think he is as good as gone. Another team will snag him and play him.
If the future of the franchise, Mitchell Trubisky, likes throwing him the football, why should they ruin a good thing?
