Derrick Rose’s top performance of the first half of the season … was his last.
Rose’s 30-point performance this past Thursday against the Cleveland Cavaliers was the best glimpse of the “old D-Rose” during the first half.
When you factor in the opponent — who was on a complete tear entering the game — and the fact that the Bulls were 0-2 against the Cavs before this one, it’s hard to find a Rose performance that you can rank higher.
Rose played a regulation-high 41 minutes against Cleveland this past Thursday night and shot 12-for-24 from the field.
Although the three-time All-Star won’t play in Sunday’s All-Star Game, Derrick Rose put the NBA on notice before the break that he’s back and here to stay.
