Although Pau Gasol is clearly not the same guy he was when the Los Angeles Lakers won back-to-back titles in 2009 and 2010, the 34-year-old can still produce.
One of the premier signings of the NBA offseason, Gasol had a fairly solid preseason where he averaged just under 11 points per game (10.7), over eight rebounds a game (8.2) and blocked over two shots a game (2.3).
Gasol’s still one of the pick-and-roll men in the game, he gives the Bulls a back-to-the-basket presence and his high-post passing should be a treat for Bulls fans along with last year’s defensive player of the year Joakim Noah.
