117th overall-Christian Jones-Florida State- Jones is an explosive athletic linebacker with the speed to chase down plays backside, and run downfield with TE’s, and backs in coverage. Probably best projects as an OLB in the NFL, but can certainly man the middle. Good leader and high football IQ along with his physical traits make him extremely attractive at this point in the draft.

Alternate pick-Yawin Smallwood-Connecticut- Smallwood is a thumping MLB or ILB in a 3-4. Plays the run extremely well and offers and exciting blitz option to any defensive coordinator in the NFL, but he is still learning the coverage aspect of the game which doesn’t make him a 3 down LB just yet. Certainly has the smarts to be one at the next level in time. Tremendous value pick here.
