With the no. 7 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Chicago Bulls will likely have plenty of options. Which of those options make the most sense?

It was hardly the eventful evening the Chicago Bulls had planned on having last week. The 2018 NBA Draft Lottery was not kind to the Bulls. Still, slotted at no. 7 overall, Gar Forman and John Paxson will have a few options that could wind up impacting the team from day one.

The offseason priority at this point is to bring back veteran wing Zach LaVine as one of the team’s primary centerpieces for the future. It is unclear whether he will desire a max contract just yet, but it seems like the Bulls are ready to do just about anything to bring him back.

If LaVine, Lauri Markkanen, Kris Dunn and Bobby Portis are seen as the young pieces to build upon, where does that leave the Bulls in terms of draft strategy? Do they have a certain position in mind, or better yet, a position that would be completely off the table?

Quite honestly, I don’t think any position is off the table. With how the NBA is transitioning more or less to position-less basketball thanks to teams like the Golden State Warriors, the Bulls could follow suit and simply put the best five basketball players on the floor to start each night going forward.

With that said, a lot of things could happen prior to Chicago picking at no. 7. Who will fall? Who will be reached for? Every year there is somewhat of a surprise within the top five or six picks, so the Bulls are in good position to get a fantastic prospect. Here are five players the Bulls could very well end up with at the seventh spot in this year’s NBA Draft.
