In the latest installment of our look at possible draft targets for the Chicago Bulls in the 2017 NBA Draft, we take a look at the shooting guards.

Well, the end of the NBA season is almost here. A couple of more games (maybe) and the focus turns to the 2017 NBA Draft. Teams looking to fortify their teams to make a title run, or teams looking to improve enough to just win more games look at sixty young men to do that.

The NBA is peculiar in that it relies heavily on youth to improve. Many of the men drafted haven’t even reached the age of 20 yet, but they will live completely different lives. They’ll be among the one percent, and they’ll have adult responsibilities.

In our series looking at possible draft targets for the Chicago Bulls, we take a look at the shooting guards. The Bulls had Dwyane Wade in 2016, and maybe again in 2017. Even so, this coming season is the last one for the hometown player. At his advanced age, the Bulls won’t re-sign him. The only reason he’ll be a Bull this upcoming season is that HE has the option. The Bulls would rather not pay him the $23.8 million and use it on the impending free agent market.

The problem is that the shooting guard class is thin this year. some of the better options will be available around 16, where the Bulls picks. Still, they may hit on someone.

With that in mind, the Bulls need to find someone to replace Wade. They need a player who can step in and take over. No one currently on the roster can do that.

One of the ideas the Bulls need to get out of is their insistence on drafting older players. They miss out on a lot of great talent by consistently drafting seniors. As I mentioned, teams are going with the 19 and 20-year olds. The Bulls need to get with the program.

Now, let’s take a look at some possible shooting guards the Bulls should target:
