The Chicago Bears shocked the world in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Who are their top options in the second round?

Well, the Chicago Bears undoubtedly got the guy they wanted. General manager Ryan Pace and company were not happy risking losing their guy. North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky was obviously their target in the first round, as they traded up from the third overall pick to the second in order to land him.

Trubisky is undoubtedly an interesting player who will likely become the face of the franchise. Mike Glennon is going to be the Bears’ starting quarterback in 2017, but Trubisky is undoubtedly the future at the position.

In order to secure the Trubisky selection, the Chicago Bears gave up a 2017 third-round pick (67th overall), 2017 fourth-round pick (111th overall) and a 2018 third-round pick. This could affect what they will look to do for the rest of the 2017 NFL Draft.

Heading into day two, the Bears hold the fourth pick of the second round (36th overall). After giving up their mid-round selections to trade up in the first, do not be surprised to see the Bears looking to trade down here. It is certainly possible that they stay put, but at least considering trade down scenarios would be wise.

Now that the Bears have their franchise signal-caller, what direction will they go in for the rest of the draft? With the second round right around the corner, let’s start there. Here are five available prospects who the Chicago Bears could be considering in the second round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
