The Chicago Bears have an opportunity to add a big-time impact player in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Who are their top options?

Who will the Chicago Bears land in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft?  It is finally draft day and we will learn the next big-time addition for the Bears in a matter of hours. The Bears hold the third overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, putting them in a great position to add a real impact talent.

The Bears have been rumored to be looking to trade down, but that is extremely difficult to predict. They will likely be the third team to make a selection in the draft and they will land a player who makes them much better.

Ryan Pace and company could obviously go in many different directions. But if we are being honest, this choice comes down to two scenarios. Are the Chicago Bears going to build for the future by taking a franchise quarterback or will they take an instant impact defensive player?

I can see the benefits to both sides. If the Bears love any of the quarterbacks in this class, they should pull the trigger. This quarterback class is not commonly looked at as a top-tier bunch, but there is certainly some talent at the position. However, the strength of this draft is on the defensive side of the ball.

There are many impact defensive players who could easily be under consideration for the Chicago Bears with the third overall pick. Add in the quarterbacks and this team has an extremely difficult decision to make.

Just ahead of the draft, we are going to look at the five most likely targets for the Chicago Bears in the 2017 NFL Draft. For the record, I am ranking these players based on who I believe the Bears are most likely to take on Thursday night. These are not necessarily the players who I would prefer them to take.

Without further ado, here are the top five options for the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft.
