Ejuan Price is an interesting later round 2017 NFL Draft target for the Chicago Bears.

The 2017 NFL Draft is almost here! As we get closer, it becomes easier to figure out what the NFL teams will do. The first round gets most of the attention, but if the Chicago Bears are going to be successful anytime soon, they have to hit on picks throughout the 2017 NFL Draft. Today, we are going to look at a potential late-round steal in Pittsburgh edge rusher Ejuan Price.

Price has been an extremely productive edge rusher at Pittsburgh the last two season. He put up 11.5 sacks and 19.5 tackles for loss in 2015, followed by 13 sacks and 23 tackles for loss last season. He was a relentless pass rusher who also showed some nice ability against the run.

Price was productive in college, but he missed more than two full college seasons to injuries. He was a full-time starter the past two years but his injury history is relatively ugly.

While Price showed the ability to be a strong pass rusher in college, he does not really have the frame necessary to be productive at the next level. Price measured in at 5-foot-11, 241 pounds at the combine. His lack of arm length is also a bit of an issue.

More from Chicago Bears

He does not look like a typical successful edge rusher, but Price has the explosive athleticism to be extremely productive at the next level. He gets off of the ball quickly, commonly giving himself an immediate edge over the opposing blocker. Price also has great overall athleticism quickness and an advanced pass rushing move set.

He knows how to get to the quarterback and has the skills to do so. His relentless motor is also a big-time help when rushing on the edge. Price has impressive speed and athleticism, but he also does a nice job of converting that speed to power. He is much stronger than you would expect when looking at him.

Price is an injury risk and does not look like a typical star NFL pass rusher. That being said, he is a talented guy who will make an impact at the next level in at least a limited role. The Bears should look to bring Price in around the fifth round of the 2017 NFL Draft.

He could be a great situational rusher in obvious pass rushing situations. Remember, you can never have too many guys who can get after the quarterback.
