The Chicago Bears face the Dallas Cowboys on their second consecutive Thursday game. With their playoff hopes all but dead, the Bears are pretty much playing for pride now. For some, their 2015 season hinges on what they do the rest of the way in 2014.

  • The Chicago Bears face the Dallas Cowboys in the second consecutive Thursday game for both teams. The Bears’ playoff hopes are just about dead, so they are left pretty much playing for pride. The Cowboys, however, are fighting for the NFC East division title.

    For the Bears, some jobs may be on the line. The Bears need to see who they have on the roster that can help the team win again in 2015. Also, some on the coaching staff may be coaching for their jobs, either with the Bears or on some other team in 2015.

    When teams are not contending anymore, you get to see the true character of their players. Do they roll over just because there will be no postseason, or do they play just as hard as if a playoff berth is on the line? At the very least, a win on Thursday could put a serious dent on the Cowboys’ own playoff hopes. Playing the role of spoiler should be good enough to continue playing hard.
