  • The Chicago Bears face the Detroit Lions today on Thanksgiving. The two teams faced each other 15 teams on Thanksgiving, with the Bears holding an advantage of 8-7.

The Bears go into the game with a season record of 5-6, though they have won their last two games. The Lions are 7-4, but are struggling. They have lost their last two games, and they have not scored a touchdown in those games.

As bad as things have gone this season, a win against the Lions will bring the Bears only a game behind them. Bad defense, inconsistent offense, bickering among players and questionable coaching moves aside, being a game out of second place would be incredible.

These are the areas the Bears must do well in order to come away with an important victory.
