Jay Cutler will have a breakout season.

Jay Cutler has immense talent. He can be a top ten or top five quarterback. He hasn’t been able to put it together, however. The reason for that, some feel, is because he hasn’t had the talent around him. He has not had good, let alone elite, wide receivers. He has not had a decent tight end. His offensive line has been horrible. Then Phil Emery and Marc Trestman came in.

Emery got Cutler the players. He brought in Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and Martellus Bennett. He also revamped the offensive line. Cutler had one of his best seasons under Trestman’s offense. Of course, he got injured and that put a damper on the season.

Cutler enters the 2014 season with a year under Trestman’s offense, and a better understanding of it. Last year, he entered the season not sure of what to expect from Trestman. He knows entering the second year. He knows this is an offense built to make him look good.

He also has a new contract, so everything is set up for him to succeed. You will see a different Jay Cutler this season, and you will like it.
