The Chicago Bears announced their 10-man practice squad on Monday morning.
- Wide Receiver Josh Bellamy
- Center Taylor Boggs
- Defensive Tackle Brandon Dunn
- Cornerback Isaiah Frey
- Offensive Guard Ryan Groy
- Linebacker DeDe Lattimore
- CB Al Louis-Jean
- Cornerback Terrence Mitchell
- Defensive Tackle Roy Philon
- Wide Receiver Rashad Ross
Note that former Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynch is not on the team’s practice squad. Lynch signed with the Bears as an undrafted free agent and had hopes of making the team as a running back. Lynch was among the the final cuts that the Bears made this past weekend and many ticketed the former Heisman Trophy candidate for the team’s practice squad.
Teams continuously add and drop players from their practice squad throughout the season so there is still a chance that Lynch could sign on before season’s end.
Ross impressed during the pre-season with the Washington Redskins as a kick returner. Ross could be an option for the Bears as a returner at some point during the season.
Boggs and Frey were a part of the Bears’ opening 53-man roster in 2013.
In addition to announcing their practice squad, the Bears also announced the signing of long-snapper Jeremy Cain to the 53-man roster. Cain will take over the roster spot that was created when the Bears released long-snapper Brandon Hartson this past Sunday.
