Beyond the start of the NFL Regular season, there is another National Holiday-esque day that is honored by football fans across the nation. The day, of course, is the release day for the latest edition of Madden.
Madden NFL 15 is set to be released on August 26.
In anticipation of Madden’s release date, EA Sports has been releasing rankings for the top 5 players at their positions. Last Thursday, EA Sports revealed the top 5 wide receivers in Madden.
Chicago Bears’ wide receiver Brandon Marshall made the list.
Marshall was second on the list with an overall rating of 96. Detroit Lions’ wide receiver Calvin Johnson took top honors with a 99 overall rating. Andre Johnson of the Houston Texans, A.J. Green of the Cincinnati Bengals, and Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys also made the list.
Madden rankings are always a talking point for NFL players during training camp.
The rankings of the top 5 wide receivers in Madden appear to be accurate. Though, Marshall does not seem to garner the same praise as the other four receivers on the list do.
Perhaps by this time next year, Marshall will be joined on the list by fellow Bears’ wide receiver Alshon Jeffery.
