Chicago Bears Training Camp: Eben Britton Carted Off Field

One Chicago Bears’ player may have suffered a significant injury on Wednesday at practice during the Chicago Bears’ training camp.

During practice, offensive lineman Eben Britton had to be carted off the field by team officials. Britton was tangled up with Bears’ defensive tackle Jeremiah Ratliff during one and one drills and that is what led to the injury. The severity of the injury is not known yet as Bears’ coaches and medical staff remain on the practice field.

Bears’ head coach Marc Trestman likely will address Britton’s injury while speaking with reporters after practice.

Britton’s injury could have a lasting impact on the Bears’ offensive line.

Entering training camp, Britton was expected to be a swing-tackle on the offensive line. Britton has proven versatile in his ability to play at either the right tackle or left tackle position as well as both guard position.

Britton, along with Brian De La Puente, were expected to be the two primary reserves on the offensive line for the Bears this season.

Britton was seen grabbing his left leg before being carted off the field.
