NBA Free Agency Rumors 2014: Carmelo Anthony's Free Agency Tour Ending

Carmelo Anthony‘s free agency tour is coming to an end.

Anthony met with the Los Angeles Lakers in Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon and will meet with the New York Knicks on Thursday night. After his meeting with the Knicks, Anthony will have a meeting with Kobe Bryant of the Lakers.

Bryant was scheduled to attend the Lakers’ meeting, though because of his flight delay, the Lakers’ superstar was unable to attend the meeting.

After Anthony meets with Bryant, that will conclude Anthony’s free agency tour.

The heavy favorites in Anthony’s sweeptakes are the Knicks and Chicago Bulls.

Though, recent reports have suggested that the Bulls are pessimistic about their chances of prying Anthony away from New York.

Interesting enough, the Chicago Bulls’ front office and Joakim Noah are currently in Los Angeles as well.

The Bulls were visiting with free agent Pau Gasol on Thursday. Noah was believed to be involved in the Bulls’ pitch to Gasol though there has been twitter speculation that Noah may reach out to Anthony one last time.

Gasol and Anthony may be working in concert. The Bulls are believed to have pitched Gasol on the idea of playing with Anthony. Gasol is expected to make his decision after Anthony makes his.

The Bulls are in a holding pattern until Anthony makes his decision. If Anthony signs with the Bulls, then the team’s summer is set. Though, if Anthony goes back to the Knicks, then the Bulls will have their work cut out for them this summer.
