Parsons is set to become a restricted free agent on Tuesday. With the restricted free agent designation, the Rockets will have the opportunity to match any offer that Parsons receives in free agency. The Rockets are interested in re-signing Parsons.
A report from Yahoo Sports suggests that the Bulls could be in the market for Parsons as an alternative option to Anthony.
The argument could be made that Parsons is the third best small forward on the market this summer. Last season with the Rockets, Parsons averaged 16.6 points per game while shooting 47 percent from the field and 37 percent from three-point range.
The 25-year old Parsons is certainly one of the NBA’s rising talents.
Parsons’ offensive game would certainly be a fit for the offensively-desperate Bulls. The Bulls’ traded for Doug McDermott on Thursday during the NBA Draft and McDermott is expected to begin his playing career as a role player.
The Bulls figure to be in the market for a small forward as Mike Dunleavy is expected to be traded in order to open up salary cap space to pursue free agents.
The Bulls can begin contacting free agents at 11:00 p.m. on Monday night.
