2014 NBA Draft: Chicago Bulls Draft Night Live Blog

Tonight figures to be an interesting night for the Chicago Bulls as the team begins their off-season with the NBA Draft. There have been a plethora of options thrown out there in terms of what the Bulls may do.

Stay clicked onto Da Windy City as this page will be updated throughout the night with rumors, moves, and selections in the NBA Draft that pertain to the Bulls.

6:25 pm: Mark Schanowski of CSN Chicago tweeted that the Chicago Bulls are still trying to trade up in the draft. Schanowski believes that the Bulls are aiming to get into the 9-12 range in order to draft a shooter.

If that is the case, then that may signal pessimism in the Bulls’ pursuit of Carmelo Anthony.

6:52: Chicago native Jabari Parker was selected with the second overall selection in the NBA Draft by the Milwauke Bucks.

In the weeks leading up to the draft, Parker indicated that he was not interested in playing for the Bucks. However, after being drafted, Parker expressed his excitement to not only represent the city of Milwaukee but also represent the city of Chicago.

7:16: Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun Times wonders if the Bulls may trade their two first round draft picks (16 and 19) to the Orlando Magic for the 12th overall selection.

7:25: The Miami Heat are trying to move up in the first round of the NBA Draft. Could the Heat target one of the Bulls’ first round draft picks?

7:42: The Denver Nuggets selected Doug McDermott with the 11th overall selection in the NBA Draft. The Bulls were interested in McDermott.  The odds are looking likelier that the Bulls will hold onto their two first round draft selections.

7:46: There is growing twitter speculation that the Bulls could be acquiring McDermott from Denver. The Bulls are indeed of a guard with the shooting ability of McDermott.

8:00: The Bulls did indeed acquire McDermott in a draft day trade.
