October 9th: The Blackhawks begin their 88th season in the Lone Star State

For the second time in the last four seasons, the Blackhawks begin their regular season against the Dallas Stars in Dallas.

The Hawks enjoyed some nice success against the Stars last season, going 3-1-0 against their fellow Central Division members in Texas.
