I’ve decided to change the format a bit. Instead of doing a recap of each minor league affiliate and writing about obscure prospects that aren’t in the Cubs future plans I’m going to just concentrate on the top ones who will impact the parent club’s future. I’m going to do it in slide format giving each prospect their own page. There is much to cover with a few of the Cubs top prospects having resurgences of late, and a few who have been good and continue to be good. Probably the biggest news is the hiring of Manny Ramirez as being a player coach. This is clearly a move that’s geared towards the development of Javier Baez who has special ability like Ramirez did. That is where I’ll have this Cubs prospect review begin.
