After winning two Stanley Cup Championships, the Chicago Blackhawks players have become celebrities of the city of Chicago.
A pair of Chicago Blackhawks players will be taking their celebrity status to the next level in the coming days. In a press release that was released on Monday, Blackhawks players Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook will be appearing on a “Chicago Fire” episode titled “Virgin Skin” that will be airing on Tuesday.
This is the first time that any Chicago athlete will be appearing on the Chicago Fire; a show that it is in its second season and based on the lives of Chicago firefighters. Though, the Blackhawks have been a theme on previous episodes of Chicago Fire. During the summer of the Stanley Cup, the Cup appeared on a previous episode of Chicago Fire that celebrated the team’s victory.
The Blackhawks have a plethora of labels that can be given to them. Those labels include Stanley Cup Champions, Olympic Champions, and will now look to become champions in their guest star roles on Chicago Fire.
The most recent Chicago athlete to appear on a television show was Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler. Cutler had a cameo on an episode of the FX show “The League”.
