With the start of the 2013-2o14 regular season two days away and Rose back in the Bulls lineup, concern rose over Noah in recent weeks.
Noah has been dealing with a groin injury and Bulls head coach Tom Thibodeau indicated that the Bulls center might not be available when the team opens the regular season against the Miami Heat on Tuesday.
However, after practicing without any limitations on Sunday, Noah declared that he is ready for the Bulls season opener on Tuesday.
“I feel pretty good,” Noah said. “[Practice is] different than a game but I feel good and I’m really excited about Tuesday.”-Joakim Noah, ESPN Chicago
Despite Thibodeau suggesting Noah might not play against the Heat, that never appeared to be an option for the former Florida Gator.
“I think if my groin was still bothering me we’d have to talk about it because I didn’t want it to linger on all season,” he said. “It would have been really tough to sit out a game that I’ve been waiting for all summer. I’ve been training for this game all summer. So it would have been tough but we got to think big picture.”-Noah, ESPN Chicago
After an undefeated pre-season, the Bulls have reminded everyone just how good they are with Rose in the lineup. But, since Rose’s return, Bulls fans have barely seen Rose and Noah on the court at the same time. Noah only played in one pre-season game for the Bulls as the center was held out of most of the Bulls pre-season games to prevent further injury.
But on Tuesday, Noah and Rose will once again join forces on the court as they begin their attempt to dethrone the Heat.
