The Blackhawks take their 5-0-1 record against Eastern Conference teams this seasons to the BB&T Center on Tuesday night when they face off against the Florida Panthers.
Two former Blackhawks from the 2010 Cup winning team, winger Kris Versteeg and defenseman Brian Campbell will take the ice for the Panthers. Campbell, who recorded the lone assist on Patrick Kane’s overtime game-winner over the Philadephia Flyers in Game 6 of the 2010 Stanley Cup Finals, will see his first action against his former team on Tuesday night, he was ill in the last game.
The Blackhawks currently sit in second place, four points behind division leading Colorado while the Panthers are in seventh place in the Atlantic division following a 2-1 victory over Minnesota on Saturday night at the BB&T Center.
Season Series: This is the first of two meetings between the teams; with the second meeting on Dec. 8 at the United Center. In the teams last meeting on Jan. 20, 2012 the Hawks beat the Panthers 3-1 at the BB&T Center.
Injury Report: Blackhawks defenseman Michal Rozsival is questionable for Tuesday night after missing the last two games with an illness. Panthers captain Ed Jovanovski (hip) is doubtful and winger Steven Pinizzotto (hip) is not expected to return until November.
