NHL Central Division Dive: Week 2 Results and Standings


With week two of the National Hockey League season complete, the NHL Central Division features three teams crowded in the middle and two teams off to an unbeaten start.

NHL Central Standings:

1. Colorado Avalanche 5-0-0, 10 points
2. St. Louis Blues 4-0-0, 8 points
3. Chicago Blackhawks 3-1-1, 7 points
4. Minnesota Wild 2-1-2, 6 points
5. Winnipeg Jets 3-3-0, 6 points
6. Dallas Stars 2-2-0, 4 points
7. Nashville Predators 2-3-0, 4 points

In week two action there were five central division clashes with Minnesota being involved in three: CHI vs STL, MIN vs NSH, WPG vs MIN, DAL vs MIN, DAL vs WPG. Minnesota went 2-1 in their games including a big 5-1 victory over Dallas at home to close out week two for them. Also, the division faced off in seven games against teams from the Eastern conference and finished with a 6-1 record with Nashville dropping the only game to Toronto at home.
