Chicago Blackhawks vs. New York Islanders: Start Time, TV Listings, Live Stream

The Chicago Blackhawks have lost two straight games after winning on opening night, when they raised their 2013 Stanley Cup banner. The team will look to rebound with backup goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin in net for the first time in four years. It will be Khabibulin’s first start since May 22, 2009, game 4 of the 2009 Western Conference Final.

Corey Crawford started the first three games this season but with the Hawks’ first back-to-back scheduled this weekend (Saturday against Buffalo), head coach Joel Quenneville gave the veteran goaltender the nod.

The New York Islanders visit the United Center for the first time since 2011. The Hawks topped the Islanders 5-4 in a shootout, and on Dec. 8 at the Nassau Coliseum they won 3-2 in overtime. Islanders winger Cal Clutterbuck was activated from injured reserve Wednesday and is unsure if he will be in the lineup. Clutterbuck was placed on IR after suffering a skate cut on Sept. 18.

There are no reported injuries for the Islanders or the Hawks.
