Chicago Blackhawks Top Detroit Red Wings 4-3 in Exhibition

The Blackhawks improved to 3-0-1 during the exhibition season with a 4-3 victory on Sunday afternoon over the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena.

Bryon Froese had two goals while Joakim Nordstrom and Garret Ross also scored for the Hawks.

Hawks net-minder Corey Crawford recorded 29 saves in the victory, allowing goals to Tomas Tatar and Jonathan Ericsson. Gustav Nyquist assisted on all three Detroit goals.

Veteran defenseman Michal Rozsival saw action in his first exhibition contest Sunday after undergoing minor knee surgery this offseason.

The Hawks will complete their second back-to-back of the preseason on Monday when they face the Pittsburgh Penguins on the road at 6:00 p.m. CT.
