Chicago Bears vs Pittsburgh Steelers: Steelers Primer

The Chicago Bears go on the road for the first time this season on Sunday to face the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.

The Steelers are a team that is facing adversity.

The Steelers have lost their first two games of the season and are facing a “must-win” game against the Bears on Sunday.

Over the course of the first two weeks of the season, questions about the Steelers’ offense and defense have surfaced.

On offense, the Steelers have been operating without a running game and that leaves Ben Roethlisberger and the “dink and dunk” passing game exposed. That is the main reason why the Steelers have only scored 19 points in their first two games of the season.

Meanwhile, on defense, the Steelers have struggled to generate turnovers and get to the opposing quarterback. When the Steelers defense was in its prime, those were two of the main reasons why.

With that said, here is what you need to know about the Steelers as the Bears prepare to face them on Sunday.

Head Coach: Mike Tomlin

Record: 0-2 (tied for last place in the AFC North)

Leading Passer: Ben Roethlisberger | 41-of-70 passing, 442 yards, 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions

Leading Rusher: Felix Jones | 37 yards on 10 carries

Leading Receiver: Emmanuel Sanders | 135 yards on 12 receptions

On paper, the Bears have the clear advantage over the Steelers. But this game could be a trap game with the Steelers playing at home on Sunday night.
