NFL Roster Cuts: Chicago Bears Cut Jordan Palmer

It appears that the Chicago Bears will not hold three quarterbacks on their 53-man roster this season.

On Thursday, quarterback Jordan Palmer started for the Bears and impressed Bears head coach Marc Trestman.

On Friday, Palmer was cleaning out his locker.

Palmer’s time with the Bears was not a waste. Considering the impressive performance he gave for the Bears in their final pre-season game on Thursday against the Cleveland Browns, Palmer may have generated some interest from other NFL teams.

Then again, impressing in the fourth game of the pre-season is not a great way market yourself in the NFL.

Wide receiver Josh Lenz’s release was also reported at the same time as Palmer’s release.

19 more players need to be cut before the Bears finalize their 53-man roster.
