The Chicago White Sox left hander John Danks gave up three solo home runs in the first four innings en route to a 3-0 loss to the American League Central leading Detroit Tigers on Saturday night at Comerica Park.

The loss extends the Sox losing streak to a season worse, nine-games and put them at a season-high 28 games below .500.

The Tigers got on the board early with Torii Hunter sending a solo home run to left field. Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta added the second solo home run on the night, sending his home run to center field in the second for a 2-0 Tigers lead.

Jose Iglesias started in his second straight game for Tigers All-Star Miguel Cabrera at third base and made his impact felt launching his first career home run with Detroit in the fourth to make it a 3-0 lead.

The Sox recorded three hits off Tigers ace Max Scherzer, who went 7 2/3 innings, striking out six in his league leading 16th victory this season.

Danks is now 0-6 on the road this year after giving up six hits and striking out six in seven innings.

Andre Rienzo (0-0, 0.0 ERA) will take the mound tomorrow in his second career start at 12:08 pm CT (CSN, 670 WSCR) for the Sox against Rick Porcello (8-6, 4.49 ERA) and the Tigers.
