Chicago Fire: Chris Rolfe named MLS Player of the Week

Chicago Fire veteran forward Chris Rolfe has been named the Major League Soccer Player of the Week.

Rolfe has been a healthy fixture in the Fire lineup this season and finally saw his playing time result in points on the scoreboard. In a 4-1 victory over D.C. United, Rolfe recorded two goals with his first coming in the second minute and the second in first-half stoppage time.

Rolfe becomes the first Western Conference player in seven weeks to win the honor and the first Fire player on the season.
