Illini football: Lincoln-Way North’s Julian Hylton commits

Illinois football picked up their second in-state verbal commitment in the Class of 2014 this past week with three-star Lincoln-Way North cornerback recruit Julian Hylton verbal commitment on Tuesday.

Last week Mount Carmel running back Matt Domer committed to head football coach Tim Beckman.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pounder started the past two seasons for Lincoln-Way North at running back but was recruited as a cornerback. He was able to show off his defensive back skills at various summer camps which impressed other Big Ten schools Northwestern, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Iowa.

Hylton and Domer join Lincoln-Way East center Nick Allegretti, Neuqua Valley wide receiver Mike Dudek and Springfield Sacred Heart Griffin wide receiver Malik Harris as Beckman’s in-state commits.
